We don’t talk a lot about crowdfunding on this blog, but the truth is that it’s not going away anytime soon. In fact, I’m almost convinced it should become the exclusive way to fund projects.


Because crowdsourcing an idea gets the community involved from day one. It validates a concept and an entrepreneur and sells items before they even launch. It ultimately creates the perfect win-win situation. The entrepreneurs get to carry out their dream, while backers get a product that they want (while also feeling good about helping the business get off the ground).

The question then becomes: Why aren’t students using the platform to their advantage? We all understand how expensive tuition can be, so why not try to subsidize it with the support of a community that wants to see you succeed.
